Lost Stocky access?
Start with what you still have.
Use this route when the exporter can no longer run or your backup is incomplete. Work through 6 steps, list every file you still have, and leave knowing exactly what you can rebuild and what is gone.
If Stocky's API still works, the Rescue Hub can preserve more data. Otherwise, export whatever remains visible and document the gaps instead of guessing.
6-step recovery checklist
Work from the strongest source to the weakest.
Complete each step that applies. Skip what you do not have, but record the gap.
Preserve first
Do you have per-PO CSV or PDF copies?
Register each original filename and hash. CSV is structured evidence; PDF is the human-readable source. Neither proves records not present in the file.
Do you have Stocktake or adjustment CSV files?
Keep every visible file unchanged. Coverage may be incomplete because Shopify says Stocky does not save historical inventory data.
Do you have SKU/Variant Average Cost reports?
Preserve CSV and PDF together, note filters and locale, and record the export date. Treat cost values as effective on the date the source shows.
Export Shopify-native product, inventory, and PO state.
Product CSV can preserve Vendor, SKU, Barcode, and Cost per item; inventory CSV preserves current quantities by location. Shopify-native purchase orders preserve their own current fields and receiving state. These are Shopify facts, not automatically Stocky history.
Search accounting, supplier email, drives, and screenshots.
Register sent POs, invoices, valuation reports, buyer spreadsheets, and configuration screenshots. Use them as their own source evidence, then reconcile—never backfill silently.

Your data stays yours — put the rules in writing.
Scope and consent
Define systems, files, purpose, people, deliverables, and stop conditions before access or secure transfer. Never request a Stocky key.
Secure transfer
Use the agreed protected channel only. Ordinary email and chat are for scheduling—not credentials, raw archives, or merchant records.
Retention and deletion
Set the shortest useful retention period in writing. Default to seven days after delivery, then remove service copies and send deletion confirmation.
Redaction
Keep originals read-only. Redact only working copies, record what changed, and never place real merchant values into fixtures or public examples.
Reconciliation
Compare hashes, dates, page/count ranges, identifiers, totals, and conflicts across sources. Record disagreements instead of resolving them silently.
Inference boundary
Every reconstructed candidate links to evidence IDs and a confidence note. An inferred record is never presented as an original Stocky fact.
Case completion
Deliver three things.

What this recovery pack does and does not do
This pack helps you preserve and organize evidence. ShelfTally imports the supplier list from a verified Stocky Rescue backup, with a review step before anything is written. It does not yet import PO, cost, adjustment, or stocktake history, and it never writes inventory changes from rescued files. Use the pack to plan a manual rebuild and verify every change before applying it.
